大斎原　Oyunohara

静寂な森に佇む熊野の神々の聖地「大斎原」は熊野本宮大社の旧社地。
例大祭が行われる四月上旬は、この大鳥居の前に咲く優しい桜を見上げながらゆっくり歩いてみませんか？

Oyunohara is the sacred place of the gods of Kumano, nestled in a solemn forest. It’s the old site of the Kumano Hongu Grand Shrine. Walking with celebrants through the gentle cherry trees in front of the grand Torii gate during the festival in early April is a wonderful experience you can enjoy when you visit!

Oyunohara is the former location of Kumano Hongu Taisha, which the World Heritage sacred sites and pilgrimage routes in the Kii Mountain Range all lead to.
